Welcome to my Artificial Intelligence blog!
Whether you're a seasoned AI enthusiast, a prolific learner (like me!), or stumbled upon this page by sheer luck, I'm so happy you are here!
Why AI?
With nearly 20 years of experience in the fields of Learning and HR technologies, I have witnessed the dramatic transformation of AI from science fiction to its practical application in my day to day work. I can see now that AI has the potential to revolutionize processes and generate new career opportunities.
AI is now very accessible via platforms like ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Bard. I'm always intrigued by the innovative ways people are leveraging this technology, but as someone with a background in technology product ownership, I approach these tools with a testing mindset and a healthy dose of scepticism, which helps me to understand their capabilities and limitations.
My Plan
Learning
To expand my formal knowledge, I plan to enrol in online courses on platforms such as Udemy, edX, and SkillShare. Additionally, I will watch YouTube videos. Using these resources, I aim to gain valuable insights and experiences that I can share with my readers.
Exploration
The best way to learn is to experiment. I will share my successes, my failures, and the inevitable moments of frustration that come from trying out prompts suggested by "Instagram Gurus."
Community
I am committed to actively participating in webinars, forums and conferences, and would love the opportunity to interview experts in the field. I encourage you to join the ongoing conversation by sharing your insights, resources, and experiences.
What's Next?
In my upcoming posts, I will be sharing my early experiences of fumbling aimlessly with ChatGPT, MidJourney, Bing, and Google Bard.
I have plenty of thoughts to share already and plan on structuring my blog in a more organised way once I've caught up with documenting my initial discoveries.
And Finally...
As I embark on this AI endeavour, I feel both excitement and worry. AI holds countless intriguing possibilities, but I also feel deeply concerned about the potential misuse of AI technology and how it will shape the world over the next decade, as my children prepare for, and join the world of work.
